The Mariolopoulos-Kanaginis Foundation for the Environmental Sciences in collaboration with the Ministry of Education announced awards to students of schools operating in the affected by the summer 2007 fires areas in Greece for the best papers with the title : “The restoration and the protection of the forest after the destructive fires as the single hope for a better tomorrow”.

The awards were presented by the Minister of Interior Prof. Prokopis Pavlopoulos during a special ceremony in the building “Costis Palamas” at the University of Athens on 13th September 2008. Students and schools’ Professors attended the ceremony.
