The Mariolopoulos – Kanaginis Foundation for the Environmental Sciences with the National Technical University of Athens, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the National Observatory of Athens co-organized the 26th International Laser Radar Conference (I LRC 26), which was held at Porto Heli, Peloponnesus, on June 25-29, 2012.
The President of the Mariolopoulos – Kanaginis Foundation, Professor Christos Zerefos, gave an introductory speech referring to the Lidar history in Greece. The Conference was attended by about 300 participants by more than 15 countries including France, Italy, Germany, Japan, UK, USA , Poland, Chile etc.
