In May 1996,
during a
brilliant
ceremony in
which the
honorary
Philosophy
Degree
awarded by
the
Aristotle
University
of
Thessaloniki
to Professor
Paul J.
Crutzen
(Nobel
Prize), the
Foundation
decorated
Professor
Crutzen with
its Gold
Medal.

The
Foundation
participated
in the
European
Commission
funded
project
"Photochemical
Activity and
solar
Ultraviolet
Radiation
(PAUR)".

The
Foundation
participated
in the
International
Conference
of Ancient
Greek
Technology
held during
the
activities
"Thessaloniki,
Cultural
Capital of
Europe"
event in
August 1997.

The
Foundation
participated
in the
UNESCO
Conference
held in
Thessaloniki,
in December
1997. During
the
Conference
the
Foundation
awarded the
Secretary-General
of WMO,
Professor
G.O.P.
Obasi, with
its Gold
Medal.

the Meeting
