Workshop entitled “The Kanaginis Family and its contribution to the society and civilization”

A workshop entitled “The Kanaginis Family and its contribution to the society and civilization” took place the 13th of July 2016 at the Museum of Marble Crafts in Pyrgos on the island of Tinos.

It was coorganised by the MK Foundation, the Museum of Marble Crafts and the Municipality of Tinos. Scientists and researchers have spoken on the historic passage of the Kanaginis family and its contribution and donations to the society.

Speakers were Dr. Flolakis Ethnologist Folklorist, Kostas Danoussis Writer-Researcher, Dr. Dimitris Panagiotopoulos Historian – Writer, the member of the directors of MKF Professor Andreas Karamanos and Professor George Stournaras. Professor Christos Zerefos Academician and President of the Mariolopoulos – Kanaginis Foundation for the Environmental Sciences, made the introduction to the theme of the workshop. The discussion was coordinated by Mrs Polyxeni Nicolopoulou – Stamati, Professor at the Medical School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Secretary of the BoD of MKF.

The fruitful event was followed by a reception offered by the MK Foundation.
